Many of our soaps are Allergen-Free, made without wheat germ oil or wheat products. If you are in need of wheat free soap, look for this symbol underneath the picture. Many of our soaps are Celiac compatible, made with only ingredients that are known to be allergen free. These soaps are not made with wheat products, nut oils, soy, corn, Vit E or other known allergens. Additionally, all of our soaps are made in a gluten-free environment. Please let us know if you have any questions about product ingredients.
For the convenience of our allergy-prone customers, we have added Mini sizes. These are either bar cuts or soap rounds and would make a good travel size or tester at the kitchen sink. If you are concerned about allergies, please test on the inside of your arm.

Q. Can the soaps also be used as shampoo?
A. Many of our customers have used our soaps for a total body experience for years (especially Rose Garden). But if you're after big suds and ingredients that are specifically designed for hair nurturing and scalp stimulation, please try the Shampoo bars. Our shampoo bars begin with a basic formula that provides everything great hair needs, with additional ingredients as needed for specific hair types. All shampoo bars are fine for color treated hair and all races.

HOW TO CARE FOR YOUR HANDMADE BAR SOAP
1. Re-Cure before using. The more moisture a bar soap contains, the faster it depletes. So, to help it last longer, especially in hot weather with high humidity, dry and harden it. Simply take the soap out of its wrapper and leave it to air-dry on a shelf in a dry place for a few days before using it.
2. Use a draining soap dish. To avoid melting, keep it away from water. When you're not using it, put your soap bar in a soap dish. There are many types on the market, but some do not drain well and will not prevent moisture from forming. Choose a soap dish that allows for drainage, like a slat design or self-draining one, preferably one where the soap sits up and not on the bottom of the dish. (See Soap Savers.)
3. Allow to dry between uses. Place on your slotted soap saver away from the water stream.
4. Use a Soap Sack. All that remains of your bar soaps are just little leftover pieces? Open the soap sack and put the little pieces of soap inside it. Use this bag like you would the bar soap.

Shaving soap for Women
You'll love this for an all-over body soap (Yum!), but will appreciate it even more for shaving! Made with fabulous essential oils and Bentonite clay (provides that lovely slip needed for a smooth shave). Surprise soap! Big soap balls provide an interesting change, I like to keep a few at the kitchen sink and I also use them in soap bags in the shower. When I prepare a bar of soap, I clean the sides and corners to make them nicer to the hand. These soap balls are made with those leftover end peels. Sometimes will have a whole ball of Rose Garden, and other times the soap ball will be layers of different but similar soaps. I sometimes have a complete soap ball of just shampoo or a ball of clay facial soaps. Let me know if you have a preference, if not, be surprised as you go from a little bit of this and a little bit of that! |

You should know up front that this is not the best smelling soap we make (LOL), but it is a very good option for anyone (person or pet) needing a highly therapeutic skin treatment bar. It's an old-fashioned ingredient that has been rediscovered for its beneficial properties for treating poison ivy, psoriasis, allergic or dandruff skin and scalp, and ACNE. This is our standard (all natural) moisturizing formula enhanced with a therapeutic level of PINE TAR and skin treatment essential oils. Willing customers have tested it and given it two thumbs up for acne, psoriasis, DANDRUFF, and doggy seborrhea. "Pine tar soap is useful for treating a wide range of skin disorders, including psoriasis and eczema. It can help with the dryness associated with these disorders, preventing the progression of scaling that often makes you appear old and worn out." "Due to its antiseptic nature, pine tar soap has been commonly used to treat minor injuries on animals."
