BACH RESCUE REMEDY & FLOWER ESSENCES

Because flower essences are non-addictive and physically harmless, they are an ideal form of self-treatment for you, your children, even your pets.

".... I have a rescue dog who is scared to death of thunderstorms and firecrackers.  Most sedatives and other calming remedies require administration a few hours before the event, which isn't always possible, and some herbal remedies require continuous, frequent use which I can't always do.  Now we're using Bach's Rescue Remedy, which is administered just after a shock or fright and takes effect very quickly.  Where I used to have a shivering dog climbing all over me, I now have a dog that lies quietly at my feet.  He still isn't completely indifferent,.but it's a big improvement and this is achieved without using toxic preparations."

DOSE: 3-4 drops directly into the dog's mouth.
If the desired result is not achieved within 10 minutes, repeat the dose.

RESCUE REMEDY LIQUID is the most famous of the BACH remedies, but in fact is not a remedy at all, but rather a mix of five different remedies (Cherry Plum, Clematis, Impatiens, Rock Rose and Star of Bethlehem) which together help deal with any emergency or stressful event. Taking a driving test, exam nerves, speaking in public, after an accident or an argument -- as well as for your pets -- grooming nails, vet visit, traveling ... always give a dropperful at the first sign of seizure activity and repeat as needed -- there are countless uses for Rescue Remedy.

In an emergency, Rescue Remedy can be taken neat from the bottle, a dropperful at a time, and as frequently as required. Otherwise put four drops in a glass of water and take frequent sips until the emotions have calmed.

.7 oz. (20 ml) ~ $15.50

RESCUE REMEDY CREAM contains the same five remedies as the liquid Rescue Remedy, with the addition of Crab Apple added for its cleansing qualities. It provides a convenient way of applying Rescue Remedy externally, and can be applied to the wrist, neck, ankles or other areas with thin skin.  For cuts, diaper rash, razor burns, scrapes, rashes, bumps and bruises of all kinds, including hot spots on dogs.

In an emergency, RR Cream can be substituted for the liquid if it is not available.

Ingredients:

Crab apple: Cleansing effect.

Star of Bethlehem: For trauma and shock.

Clematis: For the tendency to "pass out", and unconsciousness, being ‘far away.’

Cherry Plum: Fear of mind giving way, verge of breakdown, anger.

Impatiens: For irritability, tension and fidgety.

Rock Rose: For frozen terror and panic.

1.7 oz. ~ $13.50

RESCUE REMEDY SPRAY provides support at times of emotional demands such as before a driving test, interview, exam or flight, or when you simply need a little help. This quick and easy to use format means that comfort and reassurance is always close at hand.

20 ml. ~ $16.50

About Dr. Bach:

There is no true healing unless there is a change in outlook, peace of mind, and inner happiness. Dr. Edward Bach, 1934

Edward Bach, medical doctor, bacteriologist, and homeopathic physician, dedicated his life to discovering a system of healing which would go beyond the diagnosis and treatment of physical symptoms to address the emotional and mental roots of disease. He came to realize that when people were treated on the basis of distinctive personality characteristics, rather than according to their disease, true healing could occur. Convinced that he would discover what he sought in nature, he began to explore the fields and forests of England in search of Essences which would be effective, pure, and inexpensive.

One day the sight of dewdrops glistening on flower petals inspired him with the idea that the heat of the sun, acting through the dew, must draw out the healing essence of each flower.  Through the development of a method for extracting this essence and self-experimentation with the resulting essences, he isolated flowers which addressed a broad range of psychological conditions. These became known as the Bach Flower Essences.
